Nerino Avanzi

São Paulo 1884 - Itabira, Minas Gerais,1962

Actor, a clown. His father was the actor and scenographer Julio Avanzi and his mother was the dresser and stagehand Maria Avanzi. Nerino belongs to the third generation of artists from France. He made a debut in his childhood acting as the clown Picolino. Later in his life he owned Circo Nerino, which was inaugurated in 1913 and closed own in 1964 after 50 years in operation. While touring, the circu always had a private teacher for the childdren. Nerino married the French artistArmandine Ribola. Their two children, Roger and Yvone, became professional artists.
