Ricardo Gondor

Budapest, Hungary, 1919- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1983

Magician. His is the son of Francisco (Ferenc) Gondor. His paternal grandparents owned a circus in Hungary and he learned his first magic tricks from his uncle Korodini Gondor, who performed escape acts and also worked with Tihany. He made a debut at age thirteen and specialized in Chinese linking rings, cigar and card manipulation. Fluent in five languages, he also worked as an interpreter during WWII and a magician in nightclubs. Ricardo came to Brazil in the late 1950s to perform at Circo Romano Garcia and ran Circo Mágico Gondor until 1965.
