His parents are Roberto Aparcido Gonçalves, known as Pardal, and Silvia Gomes Gonçalves. His paternal grandparents are Salvador Gonçalves Cantos (Salvadorico) and Ruth Shmokel and his maternal grandparents are Raimundo Gomes dos Santos and Zilda Gomes dos Santos. He debuted at age eight and went on performing at Vostok, Di Carlo and Di Monaco. Roberto married Laura Lucia Palacios Cajueiro Gonçalves.
