Leonardo Romeu Cerícola

São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil, 1896- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1968

Clown Pão de Ló. His father was the Italian musician Afonso Cerícola and his mother was the artist Maria de Vitto (Maria Franco Cerícola). In the late 1800s he moved to Brazil with his parents. He went blind but never stopped performing on circusring. Leonardo married Zélia Cerícola. Their four children are Maria Aparecida, Walter, Waldemar e William Cerícola.  He married for the second time Ambrosina Carloo and they had three children: Iran, Irma and Ivan Cerícola. All siblings became professional artists. One of them is Ângela Cericola, who has been teaching at National Circus School.
