Frank Brown

England, 1858 - Argentina, 1943

Acrobat, clown, circus entrepeneur. He also became known in Argentina as El Payaso Ingles. His parents and grandparents were clowns and he was born in a circus. Since his childhood he performed in maby circusrings throughout Europe and ASouth America. In 1884 he moved to Argentina and worked for Brother Carlo Circus together with the artist Podestá. Brown came to Brazil may times with his circus and performed in Rio de Janeiro. He retired in 1924. Brown's wife was the ecuyère Rosa of La Plata.
