Cyclist, actor. His parents were Augusto Teodoro Batista and Regina Cortês Batista, who taught him how to read and write in Circo Tchaiss, where he perfomed for the first time at age fifteen. He also worked in other circuses such as Internacional, Peruano, Sarrasani (Dally Palacios) and Circo Tchaiss until 1960. He retired from Companhia Belgo Mineira.
