Clown, actor, singer, composer, playwriter. He left home when he was twelve and joined Circo Sotero, where he started his artistic career as an acrobat and flyer. After performing in various circus, Benjamim became known as the first black man who acted as a clown in the country. At that time, only white actors represented on stage. Due to this, Benjamim used to paint his face in white. He is one of the creators of the circus-theater - circus with a stage for dramas and comedies.
