Acrobat, actress, clown. Vanda is one of the founders of the group Intrépida Trupe. She was born in the State of Rio Grande do Sul; however spent her childhood in a farm in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul with six siblings, cousins and friends which made her spirit even more adventurous. It was there that she also became enchanted with the circuses that came to town. In 1974, she moved to Rio de Janeiro and earned a degree in Architecture, at UFRJ (1980) and Dance, at Angel Viana College (2008). Vanda is the cofounder and partner-director of the group, created in 1986, which purpose is to mix circus, theater and dance.  In her professional carrer, Vanda is very active in teaching physical training, creating choreographies in contemporary dance, stage direction, as well as Senior Consultant for other circus and theater companies and also in the pedagogical area. In 1996, she opened up a circus course for children and teenagers. Since 2000, she has been coordinating the Espaço de Criação Intrépida Trupe at Fundição Progresso, in the neighborhood Lapa. In 2000, 2002 and 2008, Vanda was in charge of the auditions for Cirque du Soleil in Rio de Janeiro. In 2009, she led the workshop O Circo e a Segurança (circus and security) throughout the country. In the same year, she directed the play "Noites Intrépidas". In 2010, she was the coordinator and technical director of the project Caio Guimarães e Intrépida Trupe - 25 anos. Soon after, she directed the plays "Uma onda no ar" (2011) and "Ao Vento" (2012). After three decades of working in the group, Vanda celebrated 2016 as being the year of her and Intrepida Trupe professional trajectories.
