Fulanas Cia de Circo
The group Fulanas Cia de Circo was founded in 2007 in Salvador, Bahia with Luana Serrat, Carol Guedes, Bianca Simões, Nana Porto, Nina Porto and Raquel Quesado. All of them earned degrees in circus, theater and dance and began their solo careers performing with Companhia Picolino, which was formed in the Escola Picolino de Artes do Circo. They toured in Brazil as well as in Europe. After they became a group they produced "Histórias contadas de cima", with aerial acts and "A rádio do seu coração", presented at Festival de Inverno de Garanhuns (Winter Festival), Pernambuco. Both shows were awarded Prêmio Carequinha (2007, 2008). In 2009, Fulanas was the only group not from São Paulo invited to the 2nd Festival Paulista de Circo in Limeira, São Paulo and Festival Diamantino de Artes do Circo in the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia where they performed trapeze with silks. The group also acted out double trapeze at the 1st Convenção Baiana de Malabares e Artes de Rua in Salvador, Bahia. In 2010, Fulanas presented the show "Gran Circus" at SESC-SENAC arena in Pelourinho, celebrating 25 years of activities of Escola Picolino.
