Acrobat, trapezist. He earned a degree in Theater at Faculdade Paulista de Artes, in São Paulo. Rodrigo was born into a family of intellectuals. His father wasthe Phylosophy teacher Carlos Eduardo Meirelles Matheus and his mother, Ana Corbisier, was a political activist who was exiled during the Brazilian dictatorship in 1964. His grandfather, Roland Corbisier, was a phylosopher and director of the ISEB - Instituto Superior de Estudos Brasileiros and became a congressman by Party PTB, in 1962. The first artistic memories comes from his childhood when he used to go to circuses and theaters with his parents. In 1985 he attended ECA - Escola de Comunicação e Artes at USP. There, he studied acting techniques and took a clown course with the Italian Francesco Zigrino, from who became assistant. In 1986, he joined Circo Escola Picadeiro in São Paulo, specializing in double trapeze, juggling acts and fire eating with his master Manoel Moura. At that time, he performed at Circo Chambinho. Soon after he moves to France where he studies circus arts with the traditionals Jean and Pauline Palacy. There he performs at Annie Fratellini as a catcher in the petit volant, charivari (Belgium) and in the company Les Oiseaux Fous. In 1988, Rodrigo inaugurates his own company Circo Mínimo, which appeared among other circus professionals who had studied in circus schools in São Paulo. Soon after he was the best new artist in Mambembe award and was awarded at Edimburg Festival as the best show Teatro Físico Deadly. In the late 2003, he and Alex Marinho founded CEFAC - Centro de Pesquisas de Circo, in operation untill 2011. Rodrigo married the clown and theater director Carla Candiotto.
