Djalma Ayres

Bastos, São Paulo, 1959

Handstander, globist and chimpanzee trainer. He is the son of the globist Mário Naldo Ayres and of Aurea Molina Ayres. In his family, Djalma belongs to the third generation of globists. His paternal grandparents are João Ayres and Celestina Ayres and his maternals are Avelino Molina and Josefa Algarte, from Portugal. He made his debut when he was five performing acrobatics, handstands and charivari and later worked for the circuses Real Madrid (Segura Argentinian family), Broadway and Circo-Teatro Ayres. He married Luisa Palacios. The couple had three children who all became professional artists: Bebita, Luís Antonio and Willi Palacios.
