Equilibrist, cyclist. Kid Lima is the sixth of nine children of a mechnic and is the only artist in his family. He loved going to see the circuses that came to town, especially the cycling acts in which he always tried imitating at home until he was able to do it correctly. At age fourteen, he was invited to perform at Circo Tihany in the Northeast. Since he was a minor, he secretly accepted the invitation. When his father found out he told the Juvenile court and asked his eldest son to bring Kid home. Once he returned, his father forbid him to leave home until after he graduated high school. One year after graduation Kid convinced his mother to buy him a bus ticket to Rio de Janeiro. There he met the clown Carequinha who offered him a contract in his tlevision program. Kid started his artistic career as a cyclist and performed in Circo Olimecha (owned by Jarbas Olimecha), television programs such as Arrelia, Flavio Cavalcanti, Moacyr Franco and Hebe Camargo. He then began an international career in Latin America, Europe and Asia. He He lived in Japan for twelve years and also was contracted by Cesar Palace and MGM (Tropicana) in Las Vegas. At the time, Kid was considered one of the best acrobatic cyclist worldwide. He broke his own record of the smallest bycicle ridden by man, not once or twice, but four times. All of the bikes, he made himself.
