He arrived in Brazil at the end of the XIX century to work in a farm in the State of São Paulo but that was not the life he had foresee. At that time, he met some circus artists and decided to study elements of acrobatics and other circus skills. Some years later he inaugurated Circo Hambrusch with his family. José married Mathilde and they had seven children - five daughter and two boys, who became excellent artists.
