Daughter and of Roberto Aparecido Gonçalves and Silvia Gomes Gonçalves, Ana Paula comes from the third generation the Gonçalves family. Her paternal grandparents are Salvador Gonçalves Canton and Ruth Shmokel. Her maternals are Raimundo Gomes dos Santos and Zilda Gomes dos Santos. She started performing corde lisse at circuses Caxambu, Vostok, African Woalla Circus, Di Carlo and Circo Lins, which was owned by her husband, Péricles Lins.
