Chile, 1950

Clown, contortionist. She attended elementary school while with her family circus. She is the daughter of Victor Durán Flores and Mirella del Carmen Gutierrez and is part of the second generation. She made her debut at age seven dancing in the circuses Minerva and Alondra where her father was performing roman rings, trapeze, clown and musical acts. When she was twelve she started contortion works and performed charivari with her brothers in the Circo Europeu Nain Agualba where she also performed rope acts from fifteen to twenty-eight. In 1973, she and her family came to Brazil with Circo Chileno and soon after they started working for the brothers, Roberto and Henrique Robattini in the State of Mato Grosso. In 1974, Florcita married the clown Pepin in Santa Fé do Sul, São Paulo and together they started performing in the Olímpico Circus (owned by Alfredo Silva), Circo Columbia, Dona Daly and Danilo Stevanowich. In 1992, the couple formed the comic duo Pepin and Florcita and went on to work for Mexicano (owned by Fuentes Guasca), Danilo, Le Cirque, Massimus (owned by Ben Hur) and Vargus (owned by Antonio and Avani).
