She finished junior high school and went to work for Circo Vitória (owned by Jovino Mariano), where she learned acrobatics. She performed in all circus acts except as a clown at Águias Humanas (Dally Palacios), Flora and Danilo, Emília Stevanowich, Panamericano (owned by Barry Charles), Ripolim, Rigoletto and in the Argentinian circus Terredo until 1985. She formed a handstand trio with the Rigoletto's and João Batista Rosa. Helena married Barry Charles.
