Pet is the first generation of artists in his family. He was naturalized Canadian and there he worked for the Canadian Governement. In the late 1930s, he came to Brazil and settled in the State of Pernambuco where he inaugurated Circo Star Light in 1943. The circus toured throughout the State. Pet married Anitta Dimetro Haywanon, who was killed in front of the circus in 1947. The tragedy almost ended his career. Together with his two daughters, Margrett and Raylda Evans, they ran Star Light for more five years. Rayda married the artist, teacher and scenographer Maranhão.
