Acrobat, hand-balancer, trapezist, actor.. His parents, grandparents and greatgrandparents were circus artists. He is he son of Jorge Michael Campos (Seu Zito) and Maria Souza Campos. Nelson debuted at seven performing cloudwalk and perch. Before starting his artistic career, Nelson was a soccer player at Fluminense (1965) and Esporte Clube Recreativo de Muriaé (1969). Afterwards he worked for circuses Vostok, Norte-Americano, Stankowich, Di Roma, Tropical, Irmãos Paracampos (owned by his grandparents Pedro Michael Paracampos and Alaide Michael Campos), Irmãos Campos,Mário Benelli, Baciocchi, Hong Kong (owned by Ripolim), Picadelly (owned by Mário Ari Stankowich), Federico Orfei, D'Itália (owned by Marco Aurélio),Giglio, Elza, Jorge Robattini, Panamericano, Bremen, Spacial, Globo, Oswaldo Terry, Bismark, Panamericano (Barry) and Mundo Mágico Beto Carrero until 1996. Nelson married Sonia Celia Dias Campos. Their three children -Marcelo, Alexandre and Marlon Michael Campos - became professional artists.
