Known as Nhá Tica, she is the daughter of Diógenes Almeida and Idalina Almeida, coming from the third generation of the Almeida family living in Campinas, Sao Paulo. Her brothers Abério and Alfredo also performed at Circo Irmãos Almeida, which belonged to the family.
