He was the owner of Circo Equestre and Ginástico Comapanhia Luande which travelled throughout the countryside of São Paulo in the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX century. His daughter, Alice Guilhermina Luande, married the Brazilian poet, Fagundes Varela.
