Veneno
Osvaldo Moreira

Rio de Janeiro, 1921 - Piracicaba, São Paulo, Brazil, 2001.

During his childhood, he lived in Rio de Janeiro with his parents. Always dreaming about being a clown he left home to start working at Circo Cheiroso in the city of Pitangueiras. While working here he adopted the artistic name Veneno. In 1932, he started performing at Circo do Paulista, where he met Dalila de Oliveira, and married her in 1944. Both moved to Piracicaba, São Paulo in 1945, where still today they run Teatrinho do Veneno e Dalila. Due to his great communication and charisma Veneno always played the main character on stage. The couple had six children and they all became circus artists: Donizete, Ednelson, Edmara, Leandro, Edson and Leila.
