Equilibrist, equestrienne. She is he daughter of Augusto Teodoro Batista and Regina Cortês Batista and belongs to the third generation of the Batista family from western Europe. She debuted at age five performing dandis acts and then performed at Tchais, Queirolo, Circo-Teatro Internacional Bibi and Circo-Teatro Mundial until 1955. Nair married the Argentine Arthur Carlos Chulvis with whom she had four daughters, all of them circus artists: Mercedes, Ilka, Valéria and Walesla Chulvis.
