Equilibrist. Daughter of Augusto Teodoro Baptista and Regina Cortês Baptista, she comes from the second generation of the Batista family from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. She learned how to read and write while travelling with Circo Tchais. The circus belonged to her family and there she started walking on a ball at age eight. Altair ended up marrying Francisco Azevedo Filho, a descendent of the Azevedo family.
