Ruth always dreamed of running away in the circuses which toured in his hometown. When she was fourteen, her family moved to Rio de Janeiro and there she tryed acting in plays. In 1984, she joined the National Circus School and specialized in acrobatic acts, cloud walk, static trapeze and lasso and whips. Ruth married Ivan Cerícola, a descendant of the Cerícola family from Italy. His aunt, Ãngela Cerícola, is a teacher at the circus school.
