As an acrobat and aerial artist, Beto is from the first class of students at National Circus School and graduated in 1986. He started performing dandis with his brother Edosn Silva, who also studed at the school. As soon as he finished, he started performing with the groups Intrépida Trupe and Irmãos Brothers. Beto is considered one of the best acrobats of his time. He was the first Brazilian artist to join Cirque de Soleil where he acted in "Mystere". Later in his life, Beto won the third prize at the Cirque de Demain Festival in France performing trampoline with the direction of the famous Hubert Barthold. As an independent artist he went on to work for many companies in Brazil and worldwide. In 2001, he and his wife Bruma Saboia created the aerial hoop duo and both were invited to Germany. After returning they continued to perform with other circus and theater groups. Since 2007 he is an art instructor at private schools in Rio de Janeiro and Bruma, who graduated from National Circus School  in 1994, now teaches there.
