As an acrobat, equilibrist, juggler, cyclist, actor and musician he made his artistic debut in Argentina in 1973. He worked for the circus Giglio, Tihany, Romano Garcia, Di Roma (owned by Roberto Robatini), Marcos Frota, Spacial (1986), Beto Carrero and Stankowich. He was considered one of the best clowns in Brazil at the time by the Federação Circense. Xupetim married Sonia Giglio with whom he had two children: Oscar Giglio Espíno and Laís Giglio. Afterwards, he got married for a second time with the trapezist with Patricia Coutinho.
