Acrobat, perchist. He is the third generation of the famous Azevedo family from Northeast Brazil. His parents are of Agostinho Bastos and Heloisa Azevedo. While studing elementary school with a private teacher he debuted at age five performing in icarian acts. Pirajá worked for Circo Garcia, Stevanowich, Olimecha, and owned Circo Picadilly. Since 1994 he has been teaching at the National Circus School in Rio de Janeiro.
