Clown, equestrian, juggler. He is the son of the Italian Giacomo Antonio Alciati (known as Jacques Antoine) and Jeane David Nava Alciatid, from Minas Gerais. In Europe he learned from a private teacher and then worked in the circuses Pierre and Flaubon. When he was twenty-seven, he came to Brazil with the Circo Éden, later renamed Circo-Teatro Irmãos Alciati. He married Alzira Nilo Figueiredo de Oliveira Alciati. They had nine children who became professional circus artists: Carlos Alciati Jr., Coracy, Mário, Waldemar, Linda, Jane, Olga, Alaor and Arlete. Linda, Jane and Arlete were dancers and partners in different acts.
